Ok so this is my story;

Starting August 30th when I was driving I noticed general dull pain in my groin area. Then from then on I had this pain on a daily basis on my left testicle.

I had this pain on left testicle for roughly 2 1/2 weeks and assumed it was an epiditymal cyst BECAUSE I had an epiditymal cyst on left testicle last year in December (it later went away/deflated naturally in Jan). And doctors told me then having one will give you a higher chance of getting it again in future.

So I go to hospital and they tell me tehy doubt it's a cyst because they see no evidence. I tell them, thats the symptoms I had last time, pain for 2 weeks then the bump comes. They gave me medicine in case it's a urinary infection.

So I get my urine tested out, I get ultrasound done, and blood test, and go see a Urologist with the results. By this time however, the pain has shifted from left to right, and kept shifting back and forth, and sometimes both overall pain together.

All tests came out normal, he originally thought there was a buldge and I might have hernia but urologist later said no it's not, it may just be "growing pains" as I am 22 and he said I might still be growing till 25 years of age (altho height/arms/legs wise I am done in growing, so I am confused as to what he means). I see my family doctor, he gives me celebrex (200 mg) and says in case it is muscle pain/inflammatory.

So here I am, mid-October, with the same pain. Sometimes it's left, sometimes it's right, sometimes both and surrounding groin areas. The last words doctors could give me is live with it; are they serious? It affects me on daily basis, sometimes I can't exercise, sometimes I can't sleep cause of the pain.

I've noticed a few things tho:

*Originally pain was very strong at all times, even when walking/exercising/treadmill made it worse, but NOW, pain is less, mostly when I am sitting/sleeping, etc, when I walk/exercise pain doesn't exist anymore.
*Not exactly same level of pain every single day; From a scale of 0 to 10 , 0 being no pain at all, 10 being unbearable pain, sometimes it's 0, 2 weeks ago it was a 7, this week up until today was a 2, and today was 8. It varies up and down.
*Originally Advil IV, motrin, etc, helped ease pain, now my body seems immune to such benefits (no i do not take pain killers a lot)
*I am not on currently any other medication except the Celebrex which was prescribed for 30 days
*Prior to getting pain diet was bad as I was on vacation, little exercise; but now I eat a healtyh diet; mostly chicken steamed veggies, salmon, some lean ground beef, salads, tons of fruit, lots of water, flaxseed, I exercise 4-5 times a week or more
*I think for the past month or so I've began to notice testicles hanging kind of loosely (could be attritbuted to poor summer diet), this worsens the pain as they swing around in bed and more contact = more pain

Sry for long info/details, just want to make sure it's as clear as possibel to rule out certain things. If anyone can please let me know what their diagnosis is I'd appreciate so much, thank you!

testicular, groin pain
hey read ur message ive been struggling with the same symptoms. ive seen several doctors, a urologist, had an ultrasound, taken every antibiotic under the book without success. also i have chills and lower left abdomen pain. its been a struggle for over a year now and the urologist tried telling me it was nerve pain and ill just have to deal with it. im starting to get worried because i lost my sex drive in the past couple months and everything seems to be getting worse. im going to see a doctor that specializes in groin/testicular pain as soon as i can get referred. ill let u know if anything becomes of it. also please let me know if u have had any luck or found out anything about ur condition because it sounds so similar to mine, thanks
