Was at er had test done, can anyone please tell me wat this means?
spec'm 10/07/09
Troponin-I: Troponin interpretive duidelines
<0.5-0.49 ng/ml: suggestive of myocardial
injury or low level of myocardial injury secondary to ischemic as well as to non/ischemic etiologies,including:
acs: unstable angina
chf: myocarditis
copd:late presenting ami
pe:sepsis
there is evidence that the presence of elevated troponin levels, regardless of cause,are associated with a high risk for short term future events.

>=0.50 ng/ml: suggestive of myocardial
injury consistent with ami
can anyone pls tell me wat all this means pls thank u

You need a doctor to translate that, although I presume that the fact it refers to myocardial injury and unstable angina that it is to do with your heart. Were you admitted with chest pains?

Contact your GP and ask him to explain what it means.

I cant believe they let you leave the hospital without explaining what is going on?? However the fact that they did probably means its not life threatening so try not to stress yourself out. Make an appointment with your Dr.
