I saw some pictures of "terry's nails" and think I might have them. I'm worried because i've read it is is a symptom of serious systematic problems. Is there a less serious reason for the appearance of 3/4 of my nail beds to be pale and the edges to be darker pink?

I also get dizzy and feel faint, have low blood pressure (88/53 at times but other times it's more in 90/60 range). I'm 26 year old vegetarian female, 5'2 and 103 pounds, I eat lots of veggies and protein but used to have bulimia for about 2 years, but have been completely recovered for at leat 6 months. I also haven't had my period in almost a year since stopping birth control pill. My doctor said I had polycystic ovaries (had ultrasound) but don't have other symptoms of PCOS. Other symptoms: very thirsty, low energy, depressed, lightheaded for extended periods of time, worse in mornings and everyday, having to wake up in the night to urinate.

I have been taking Iron supplements for a few months and still taking them for low iron. Also taking B supplements. I was taking multivitamins but don't take them everyday now because I think I have a pretty good vegetarian diet. I am trying to gain weight as well and not exercising as much in the last month or 2. I used to weigh only 90-95 pounds but have already gained weight in the last year.

I also noticed recently that I have them, and reading about them on the internet doesn't help me at all. It all points at some serious problems.

Have you had any tests, did you find the cause of your problem?
