My pain has now changed yet again. I have always had pins and needles in my lower body since something trapped a nerve when I got the injury. This is now seventeen months later and in this latest attack of back pain I have a tender stomach and ribs with the pins and needles around my chest area. Can somebody help me please as I am not getting much support from my doctor/pain clinic.

Sorry to trouble you all yet again but this is the only place that I feel I get real support.

Hello Shania,

I wish I could help you, however, I have not experienced the pain that you have described. I hope someone else will be able to help.

Shania, have you gotten second and third opinions from other doctors outside of the pain clinic you are going to? Hope so. If not I would suggest that you seek out the best neurologist that you can find in your area.

Something isn't right and you know it. Now to find a doctor who listens to you and understands and KNOWS what to do so he/she can help you.

Take care.

Just to update you, my back pain is classed as Mechanical lower back pain. I know that that can't do much for that as all the research I have done more or less has said so. I am going to the pain clinic next week but they said on the phone that the tenderness of the ribs and stomach was most likely the muscles tensing up.

At least I have some answers now.

Thank you for caring
