I am 34 yo, I have a lump in my left armpit that has been there for a few weeks now, it recently became tender to the touch and now just moving my arm is slightly painful.
i've had these before the 1st time when I was pregnant 7yrs ago the dr. said it was milk glands or something like that it went away after a while(months), then it came back and another dr. said it was swollen lymph nodes, it came and went over the years, Now it's back and is getting bigger each time it appears, this is the first time it has been this painful.
Could it be cancer? What could cause this?

Cancer or not it can't be decide just by looking at it what you should do is to go and see a doctor and have them run some test to confirm wheather is it benign or malignant, good luck.

It's most likely a lymph-node; these swell when you are sick. You might not FEEL sick, but they can swell anyway. It could also be a cyst; I had a friend with a cyst that grew to the size of two ping-pong balls in her armpit and they had to cut it out of her with no anesthetic!!

I'd definitely go get it checked out.

How did she survived that ordeal without having any anesthetic?

Malpractice pretty much. She screamed her brains out but they wouldn't give her any more, and didn't administer it right in the first place.
