I was sitting here watching youtube a couple of hours ago when I felt a slight throbbing pain all around the temple area in the left side of my head. I naturally reacted by rubbing my head where it hurts and was alarmed when I felt a small lump about the diameter of a dime right next to my ear, (between my ear and my temple). It is not protruding very far but nonetheless it is noticeably different then the right side of my head(where the same area is completely flat). This lump is hard as if it's a part of my skull, its not mushy and it doesn't move(that I know of, I mean I didn't try very hard to move it for obvious reasons). I never noticed the lump before this, which is strange because I have VERY short hair and I'm always rubbing my own head out of habit because I like the way my hair feels. Anyways, the pain is a short-lasting, throbbing, pressure-like pain located directly around the lump. The pain is pretty much dormant until I move my head in any way especially if do any type of jerking movement it really hurts(except a little while ago while writing this my left eyeball was hurting pretty bad for about 5-10 seconds and I was not moving my head). This is really freaking me out. I'm going to the ER to get it checked out tommorrow but I have no insurance so I'm scared they will send me away with an antibiotic and tell me to watch it, when it could be a tumor. Someone please tell me what these symptoms mean and what this lump could be?
Thanks
