Q: Telling doctor about self harm ?

I'm 18 and a regular self harmer, the funny thing is I don't even know why I do it! I just get the urge to. Well to cut a long story short I want to tell my doctor but I don't know how to, also what will his reaction be like? any advice I will be much greatful thanks.

Schedule an appt with your doctor and tell him / her ... because of your age, it will be in confidence.

In order for your doctor to treat you fully you must first disclose your history, including self harm.
