Hello, My name is Wendy S. and I am putting together stories from the lives of real people who have battled their entire life with mental illness. I would love to hear you story and possibly use it in my book. The book will be to inform and educate about mental illness, the field of psychology, and help others by reading the stories written. I have been wanting to write a book for years and will appreciate any of your stories you send me.

1. Discuss what you were like as a child and your family life.
2. Discuss relationships throughout life.
3. Discuss you education, jobs
4. alcoholism, drugs
5. Relationships with your own children and spouses
6 Your treatment plan and status
7. Your greatest success with therapy, meds, etc.

Put together as many pages as you are comfortable writing or typing about your life and treatment. Please include your diagnosis and the meds prescribed to you.. Your name will not be used in the book. I'm really excited about this and hope it will be a great success.

Please send me your story.

My life with mental illness
Hi wendy
I would love to share my story with
Lets see I had a great childhood. I have always been an intravert, but after the onset of my illness (Schizoaffective) I became more reluctant to socialize. I have a highschool diploma and have had a multitude of jobs dishwasher, delivery driver all the way to adult video store clerk. I gave up trying drugs early in the onset of my illness. I was 16 when I first became ill and am 33 now. Alcohol I gave up at 24 didn;t mix well with meds. I have a good relationship with some of the family and a jaded one with others. I have been on a good meds for the past decade almost and have been doing relatively well, it wasn't until recently that my antidepressant lost it's effectiveness am going to have to try a new one. MY success comes from my use of art as a tool to heal whenever I paint I feel like I've done a talk session with someone. I try to advocate with art if you want check out abit more about me and my work.
thanks hope this helps
bye

I have a long and winding story of depression, both clinical and postnatal. In fact I think I have always had it. It would take me quite a long time to write as it does stretch from when I was young until now I'm age 30. I would be happy to share it with you if you so wish Smile
