teen pregnancy symptoms ? Posted: 04-17-08 17:15pm
Hello, as you can see I'm new here. I'm
seventeen years old and I'm really worried
that I could be pregnant.
My last period began on March 11 and it
ended around March 16. I had sex with my
boyfriend on March 17 (we used a condom),
and I haven't had my period yet for this
month. This was the first time I've ever
had sex.
I don't usually keep track of the specific
dates that I get my period (the only
reason I know for last month was because
it was my boyfriend's birthday), but I do
know that my period is fairly regular and
I get it once a month. I usually
experience minor cramping a couple days
prior to my period, but haven't
experienced this yet. A couple of weeks
ago I had a white discharge that lasted
about a week (sorry if that's too much
info). I usually get that prior to my
period, too, but nothing.
I have not experienced any pregnancy
symptoms aside from fatigue, but I am sure
that this is due to the fact that I am
buried in assignments at school and just
returned home from Europe last week.
I sincerely hope that this is just me
being paranoid and nothing else, but what
do you think? Shouldn't my period be here
by now? When should I test? I'd be very
appreciative of any help or advice. As you
can see, I'm only seventeen and the
thought of pregnancy sends chills down my
spine. Thanks in advance!

I'd say test now! You're already late, so
any pregnancy test would be accurate. Of
course, stress and the travelling itself
could be the cause of the late period (and
are much more likely than a conceived
pregnancy at the very end of you period
while having protected sex). Good luck

Well i would get a test. thats wat i did
when i didn't have a period when i was so
post to, and i was prego. i didn't really
show many symptoms, that i realized, so i
was in the same spot you about 2 1/2
months ago! are ur breasts sore? do u pee
alot more? or even just a little more? do
u feel tired more than usual? well i peeed
a little more than usual, my breasts were
alittle bit sore, but i didn't feel tired
cause i was to worried that i might have
been prego, and i was. so make sure that u
really arn't showing any signs, some women
don't experience any for a good while.
but even if u are or not having any
symptons i still get a test to clear your
mind or to tell u ur about to make a life!

I'll test as soon as possible because I'm
getting really worried. I don't pee more
than usual, my breasts are not sore at
all, I'm just a tad more tired than I
usually am. Like I said in my original
post, I'm pretty sure that the fact that I
just returned from Europe is the reason
why I feel a little more tired than usual.
I'm also in the midst of tests and
projects at school, so that has been
waring me out.
I really, really hope that this is just a
late period, but it's never been this late
before.

Don't Be stressing it too much. Take a
test. Did you say you only have had sex
one time? I dont think that is very likely
to already be pregnant, but I could be
wrong. If you find out your not pregnant,
then get on birth control ASAP. Don't tell
the boy friend either, if he is the type
to not want to use a condom. or he thinks
it would be cool to cum inside you.
Becuase he will use the fact your on
birthcontrol to not use a condom or cum
inside you. Until you at least have done
what you want to do in life, then be
extremely safe. its not that hard. -- I
hope that everything works for the best!
But I dont think you are pregnant! if you
used a condom...you should hopefully be
safe.
