im currently 27 weeks pregnant, and my vagina swells up a lot during the day, is this normal? also i find that after sex, i tend to be very sore and occasionally tear a little, sometimes there is even a little blood. has anyone else experienced this? and if you have, what did you do about it?

i think you should go to your doctor and tell them this, they might tell you not to have sex till after your pregnancy.

WOW i have experienced this....I'm nearly at the end of my pregnancy with my 3rd and my one side of the vagina is constantly swollen and sore all the time....its very unpleasant...i have had thrush and my doctor said it was because of this...but at 39 weeks gestation and I'm still swollen its abit worrying. As for the bleeding with sex...it was sex with my partner that put me into premature labour at 26 weeks and as my cervix has stayed open since then we have been told not to have sex as it can trigger labour (as we found out) and can cause infections to me and baby while cervix is open.Deffinetly think you should see your doctor as they could take a swab and see if its thrush or a different infection. The sweliing also could be down to your pregnancy hormones.....I think i have heard of that but please correct me if that one is wrong.

the vagina becomes engorged with blood during pregnancy (which usualy is a plus for most women because it hightens sexual pleasure...for me it just made it hurt lol) because your bodys blood volume skyrockets. so what you are experiancing could be very normal. also the bleeding could be due to your partner irritating your cervix, it becomes very tender during pregnancy. if you are worried talk to your doctor but i dont think its anything to worry about (but then again im not a doctor lol)
