I too had an hysterectomy 8/12/2009 i was in the hospital for two days, as soon as i got home i got a 104.0 fever and i could not go to the bathroom (#2). I was almost at the point of fainting. A week after i started to leak when i laughed, one week later i was not leaking it was a running faucet. I change my pad every hour. Getting kind expensive you know.. I change my pad at night 4-5 times. I need to shower after all that. I have had a good sleep for 6 weeks now. I went to the dr for a check up and never was examed down there, they just gave me antibiotics and sent home with the thought i had a bladder infection. Finally my nurse checked me down there and she got up like her set was on fire. She said your leaking through you vagina cavity, she didnt even want to touch me anymore and sent me to see the main dr. There. He checked me and i looked at his face and he turned so pale that i scared me and my husband. He sent me to the hospital to do some testing . The first one was a ct that was stopped imediatly and sent me to xray and the same thing there they couldn't do it because i had a huge leak and i could retain the dye and saline. They also inserted a catherter. I had been wearing that thing for 2 weeks i had no pain meds or anything it was such a bother that i went yesterday to my ob and he said what are you doing here i saisd dont you guys have to check me after my surgery and he said "i told you that other dr. Will be taking your case" i was like what... I demanded him to remove the cathertal and he t said you need to keep it in, so i said no take it out and he said "fine then take it off your just gonna have to get a surgery" well guess what i wanted to have the surgery anyways. He got all mad he trough his arms in the air and said" fine just take it out" and he walked out the nurse came in and took it out and she was like poor girl you are bleeding so much from you cath. I didnt know it was blood because i have been taking peridium. Im so mad and tired of all this. What should i do ? Does any one have any advise.. Im so helpless and sad, i cry every night.. Help any one. Please tell me this is normal.. Crying in arizona.....
