Q: TB diagnosis

My father, age 68, has in the last few months lost a lot of weight, becomes tired very easily, is feverish very frequently- in short has the typical TB symptoms. Don't know if genes count but his father died of the same disease.
The trouble is that his lungs were tested for it and the reports are clear. How does one determine if he has TB or not, one doctor he went to said some other organ is probably affected but didn't have any definite answer as to how that could be determined.

Thanks a lot.

p.s. any advice for dad? diet-wise? general care?

Also, he has developed two small lumps on his chest (mini breasts) which the doctor says have formed because a medicine he was taking- xantax i think- has female hormones that may have caused them.
the lumps are painful, but don't give any discharge.. the fluid in them was analysed and is clear. doctor recommended surgery to remove the lumps, said they're harmless.

just added this in case it's relevant. please do reply..
