I have been monitoring my bp at home with an mercury sphgmomonometer. i have been consistantly getting resdings 106/64 for several years. i feel that at my age (83)this is a little low and have been thinking about reducing the dosages.for about 10 years my bp meds have been: nadolol 80 mg--nifedipine 30 mg,i realize that the nadolol tablets can be cut in half ( i get 40 mg tabs.) but the nifedipine can not be reduced. perhaps a gradual reduction in nadolol would be sufficient to raise my bp to a more satisfactory level. please advise, bigreach

Extremely eHealthy
Having a low blood pressure has its own harmful consequences as the high blood pressure has.
This can be result of over medication (too high dose or more than one medicine) or it can indicate poor heart muscle contractions.

Visit you doctor for medicines evaluation and heart examinations!

Best wishes!
