My clinic says 3 weeks which is when you are supposed to go in for a follow-up.

However, I have heard that other clinics suggest 2 weeks.

I am going to wait the entire 3 weeks before using them just to be on the safe side. I do not want to get an infection.

Luckily for me, I stopped bleeding rather quickly. I hate using maxi-pads.

WE recommend that you wait ONE WEEK.

After any FIRST trimester abortion, your cervix would be closed by 7 days.

so is there any chance of an infection once the cervix closes?

No.

That is how the bacteria gets inside of you, through your cervix.

A LOT of clinics say wait 2-3-4 weeks to have sex or put anything inside of the vagina because they do not want you to get pregnant again so soon.
