Depends in what sense you are talking about, their is a thin line between talking about sex and another one of going into details. Sometimes you are looking for advice, whether it be about "spicing your sex life up" sometimes you need an outside opinion!

if its on a website such as this I feel it is acceptable bc as petery said some people are looking for advice..however, i also agree with you that talking openly about your sex life to others is inappropriate..actually, funny you bring that up, I found out a while ago that a friend of mine was asking my boyfriend VERY VERY personal questions about me and my "first time" with him and other things...needless to say this INFURIATED me, and we're not friends anymore...i agree, to me my sex life is private..i dont even discuss it with my best girl friend..however, if theres something I wish to know then I wouldn't hesitate to ask about it on this site
