Right after I met my now current boyfriend I was diagnosed with a UTI. I took antibiotics for a week and was fine. The following week I had my yearly checkup and everything was fine. About 2 weeks after that I was diagnosed with another UTI, they prescribed me a different antibiotic which I took for another week and was fine. About two weeks later I noticed a smelly discharge and was diagnosed with another UTI. Once again they prescribed me another antibiotic for another week. After that time my boyfriend decided to go to the doctor and get checked just to make sure I wasn’t getting the infection back from him every time I got over it, but his tests came back clean. Another two weeks later I peed blood for about a day and it was painful. So again I called the doctor and he said he that the antibiotics aren’t curing the infection and the blood is from blood vessels in my bladder popping because of irritation. So he said he would prescribe me a stronger antibiotic and he had me come in a week after I finished taking them to check and make sure the infection was gone and all the test did come back clean. That time when I was there I was complaining about mood swings and just feeling like I was out of control of my own emotions. I asked if it could be because the pharmacy changed my birth control to a different generic but he assured me it was the same pill just a different name. But because I was so concerned he changed the pill I was on. I used to have heavy irregular periods but since I have been on the pill they are usually 5-6 full days. When I started this new pill in June I only had spotting for a couple days not a real period. I stop taking the pill on Sunday and it usually takes me until tues or wed to start but in July I started first thing mon morning and it was just spotting that was done by tues night. I now feel like I am on a constant emotional rollercoaster, my face is breaking out, my lower back hurts, I keep getting these cramps like period cramps but they don’t last long, I sometimes have a pressure in my abdomen, I eat more than ever before, I have gained weight (I’m usually 115 lbs and my flat stomach is now a pooch), I have small headaches, dizzy a lot, and almost fainted at work one day. I also just got a yeast infection. I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests and they all come back negative. I called the doctor and he said it’s very unlikely because I am on birth control. I also asked about the antibiotics canceling out the birth control and he said that too is very unlikely. Still concerned I called ask a nurse and she said some women never test positive on an at home test and I need to go get a blood test. I don’t have insurance so it’s very expensive for me to go to the doctor. My boyfriend is begging me to go because I’m still taking the pill and could be pregnant. ANY ADVICE PLEASE…..

From what i know, Antibiotics to cancel out birth control so it is likely that you could be pregnant and maybe your HCG levels are'nt high enough to show on a pregnancy test.

Get your doctor to do a blood test ASAP just to be sure
