Hi Everyone

Just wondering if anyone could help, i've had vaginal pain for over 10 years now, started off with very bad blisters, (that arent herpes have been teted 14 times over the years lol) my doctor thinks it's systemic candida as i have all the symptoms, and when i use thrush tablets it eases down a little. i'm in constant pain, sitting is hard, sex is impossible and so is wearing jeans etc.

I was prescribed cortisone cream a few years ago which i didnt know wrecked your skin, so now I have very thin skin just at the opening which splits all the time. I'm red raw just inside on both sides, itchy have a discharge as well as the think skin, nerve damage and juts the constant raw and sore feeling

Could anyone suggest anything at all?

Many thanks for listening to me ramble Embarassed

Warm wishes
Janelle

Have you seen a doctor about this? Nystatin is usually the medication of choice to treat systemic candida. After taking nystatin it is a good idea to take probiotics to help replace the normal bacterial flora in the GI tract. See a doctor and ask about this. You can take the probiotics without having used nystatin. Go to a natural foods store that sells supplements. There should be lots of choices for probiotics. Recently there have been many studies done about probiotics and the benefits of using them, especially with yeast overgrowth in the bowel. Hope this helps.

Hi

Thanks so much for getting back to me Very Happy . Unfortunately I have literally tired every cream, tablets etc known to man with still no relief, i'm starting to wonder if it may be caused not only from thrush but also from a back problem i have. I also have problems with my hormones which definately makes it all worse especially at that time of the month, i can bearly sit down.

Thanks again

Candida is a yeast infection. Thrush is the condition of yeast overgrowth in the oral cavity. Candida can be a problem from the mouth to the bowel. It becomes a problem many times due to hormonal imbalance or after taking antibiotics. If you have been given nystatin from your doctor you may need another round of the medication.

The only thing I found that works to get things back into a more normal balance is probiotics. Probiotics are the bacteria that normally live in the vaginal canal and in the bowel. I urge you to try this. You can buy capsules and take them orally. You can open a capsule and put it in a small amount of warm water and use it vaginally as a wash to help put the normal balance back into the vagina. This may take a few days to really give you relief. Use a product like monostat cream for discomfort on the labia. This should alleviate the problem. You need to be diligent with this. Take the probiotic 3 times a day. Use the vaginal wash 2 times a day.

I hope you try this and it works.

Systemic Candida
I have suffered with systemic candida for many years now...it has spead everywhere in my body, even my brain....symptoms are horrible, ever changing...invades every bit of your life....my suggestion to any one suffering from this horrible, horrible illness is to try herbal supplements that are offered over the internet...it takes awhile to overcome candida but can be done....I've tried nystatin but it seems to make me feel wirely, speedy....so the website I recommend is Get Healthy Again.com...it's costly but well worth it....Try it!

Another natural war of getting rid of candida is to go on diet called the candida diet. I tried it a few years ago but I don't have a serious candida problem. Other people who had a more severe condition and went on the candida diet for 3 or 6 months swear by it. Google this diet. It might sound like a hard to maintain diet but it acctually is not that bad.

I hope this helps
