I am getting tested next week regardless, but nothing seems to soothe my fear. I just thought I'd as a few questioons and see what everyone's opinion is.

I have this rash that is now starting to heal that looks like Pityriasis Rosea, which also means it looks like a bunch of other things too, and since I am not a doctor I don't know.

I have 2 questions: 1) My rash began to spread to my lower extremities but my chest, arms and back are now healing. Do rashes of syphilis and HIV spread like this?

2) I do not have any signs of the rash on palms or soles, but there are one or two less visible spots on the tops of my hands and feet.

To give a little more description of what it looks like, the larger patches have red rings around them that resemble ringworm, and were raised. As the rash heals it's turning brown and disfiguring my skin almost making it look tight or leathery. There are bumps under the skin that can only be seen under light. I noticed this in the dark when I held out my arm under my laptop. The rash has presented itself on my arms, and back & butt and chest, and thighs and calf, though on the lower extremities it is more widespread and not clumped together. The rash is very flaky and seems to "smooth" out as it heals. It does feel rough due to the wrinkling of the skin. On my arms the rash is more prevalent on the "bottom" where light would not hit it as much, and on the "top" are the bumps that can be seen under light, with a few of the scaly, flaky patches.

Any help would be much appreciated to help ease my pain before I go to the doctor.
