Q: Synthyroid with marijuana and alcohol ?

There wasn't a hypothyroidism forum so I figured I'd post it here.

I've been prescribed Synthroid due to my hypothyroidism and want to know if smoking marijuana or drinking alcohol will have any interference or effect on it.

I briefly researched interaction with synthroid and alcohol. There is very little data showing any significant interaction with them. As for marijuana, it is not a good idea to take any medication with use of marijuana. If you are going to use marijuana do not use it immediately after taking any medication. This will lessen the chances of interactions.
