asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 9th, 2009
Hello I have been suffering with this problem for awhile now and I am just worried alot. The symtoms I have are as follows - Skin in cheek feels rougher than it should, upper throat constantly feels dry/dusty, I have a bad taste from all this at first it felt like poison but it has worn off a little, I had dry ears but they have gotten better, I have dry eyes and my scalp gets dry, I don't feel very clear, My neck akes, I felt at the back of my neck and there is a hard lump that cannot move is this just my c1 bone or something more serious? My jaw akes I still have my wisdom teeth I had a xray and the dentist said there is no room for them but just leave them alone, I don't feel like I have much energy when I get up. I smoked heavily from age 11-19 I gave up because it was time to and this problem became unbearable. Hope that made sence and hope you can help me. Thanks

Unfortunately, your rather lengthy list of symptoms is likely to represent more than one condition.

Some of your symptoms sound as if they might be related to allergies, and, possibly, a chronic skin condition (such as eczema), as well.

Unfortunately, no physician can offer specific diagnoses for patients whom he/she has never examined. In view of the large number of health complaints that you are experiencing, you should definitely see your personal physician for a thorough evaluation.

Sincerely/ Robert A. Wascher, MD, FACS
