These symptoms are all pretty subjective and could be related to a number of conditions. If you've just stopped your BC pills, it is possible that pregnancy can occur, but you only have a 35% chance of this happening if you're under 30...and that's if the sperm arrived at the egg and all systems are go...so take a pregnancy test in a few days, and you'll get a better idea if pregnancy is the cause or not.

Pregnant?
Ok, I stopped taking my bc pills about a month ago and had my period as soon as I stopped taking them. I started about a week after my period getting symptoms of pregnancy. Bloating, nausea, sore nipples, fatigue, and spotting. I took 3 pregnancy tests and 2 were positive. I went to the doctor and the blood tests were negative. So therefore they wouldn't see me as if i was. What should I do? Could it just be that my hormones are going crazy for coming off of my pills.

Symptoms of stopping birth control pills?
To KrystalJohnson23, so were you pregnant, or was it the symptoms of coming off of the pills, I am experiencing the same symptoms now, and I just stopped taking birth control pills as well, just wondering what your outcome was, if you dont mind sharing?

Stopping birth control
FYI...After stopping the pill, I was having similar symptoms:
Headache
Heightened sense of smell
Heavy feeling in lower abdomen
Slight brown bleeding
Dizziness
Going to the bathroom 2 x before lunch
Tired
I definitely thought I was pregnant. After almost 3 weeks of wondering and 3 days late for my period, I took a pregnancy test. It was negative, and go figure I started my period the next day.

Stopping the pill
I am experiencing the same thing.... I stopped the pill, it will be 3 weeks this weekend. Since last saturday I have been experiencing nausea off and on. Also I have almost constant stomach cramping. Plus I was getting horrible headaches that wouldnt go away. Today is the first day my headache is tolerable. Bloating... My stomach doesnt feel like it should. My cycle is set to start on the 16th if all goes right after stopping the pill I bounce back. I talked to the Dr and she said it could be ovulation cramping but its been 4 days... ovulation is 24 hours.... HELP ME! I am so confused!

I stopped taking my birth control pills and have been experiencing tiredness, back pain, bloating, constipation, frequent urination, sore breasts/nipples, and I've also been a bit gassy lately. My cycle ended on Saturday and I was supposed to start a new pack on Sunday. I didn't and had unprotected sex on Wednesday and Thursday. So technically, I missed 4 active pills. My next period is due in 2 weeks. I just can't wait to take a home pregnancy test. I don't mind being pregnant. The anxiety of not knowing is killing me. I am a smoker (about a pack a day) but went cold-turkey the day I realized I could be pregnant (day after ovulation). I was a smoker for 9 years. The funny thing is that I don't crave nicotine at all.

did you get your period yet though? I'm planning to take the test next week if I don't get mine by then. I can't wait. I go online a lot more often to check for replies... I even looked up a possible EDD... lol... My sister said that I should stop and just wait because the more I look things up and the more I think about it---the more "excited" I'll be and then "disappointed" if the test comes out negative. I've been on the pill for a year and it's just weird not taking them anymore. I fully intend to get back on once I get my period. Hope all goes well for you.

I think you should take the test. Amandablue and I are still waiting for our time. It's better to know now so that you can prepare yourself for what's to come. If you're not pregnant, atleast you'll feel at ease. I hope everything goes well for you... Take care.

Hi ladies!

I'm so glad I found some people going through the same thing as me...I've been scouring the internet and worrying myself. I was on the pill for about 6 years and just stopped. I would have started a new pack last a week ago last Wednesday. Since then I've had major cramping, and sharp cramps when I sneeze or get up too suddenly. I've felt really fuzzy too; just have a hard time focusing. The worst is this distended abdomen; I've had to borrow a Bella band from a preggar's friend just to make my pants fit. It's too early to take a PT so I'm just trying to wait patiently. It's hard to believe that all these symptoms could be the result of going off the pill when I never had any hormonal problems before going on the pill or even on the pill, but on the other hand, I'd only be 2 weeks along if I was pregnant, and it's hard to believe that I'd have these symptoms this early. Ugh.

I should be getting my period next week. If I don't--I'm planning to take the HPT on Friday. My breasts/nipples are still sore... My back still aches... I still urinate quite frequently... I still feel tired a lot... These symptoms haven't gone away yet. My breasts seem a lot fuller as well. I don't know... It's probably all in my head. Anyway, whether pregnant or not pregnant, I've quit smoking! LOL... Yup---no cigs since the time of ovulation... Smile

Does anyone know how early a blood test can accurately detect pregnancy? I can't wait a week to find out if I'm missing a period or not. My pants don't fit and my nipples hurt (and we're not talking snug-fitting pants, we're talking not-even-close-to-fitting). I'm going in tomorrow for a blood test; this uncertainty is driving me crazy : )

Blood test
I read that you can take the blood test within 7-12 days after fertilization/possible conception... Hope this helps...
