Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The bleeding that you experienced after missing your active pill intake could be the withdrawal bleeding. If you are not regular in taking your birth control pills at scheduled time daily, you can be at risk for pregnancy. Wait and watch for your withdrawal bleeding/period that should occur during the placebo pill week. If you miss your periods, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you develop any new symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, then consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Stop the use of hormonal contraceptive if pregnancy is suspected, or if pregnancy gets confirmed.
Take care.
