Hello, I had three experiences of sex without a condom, which were stupid but nevertheless my fault. The first one was back in September 06' , October 06' and March 07'. During April i experienced mono like symptoms, i went to the doctors and they took blood for mono and lymn disease. The blood test came back positive for mono.

*my first question, if they found mono would they have looked farther for hiv?*

During the summer i started to get these small red spots on my skin, that if pushed would disappear. The doctor said they were capiliariers or something. I also developed a few warts on my wrist and on my knee. During September 07' i developed a whitish tongue (or i noticed, might have had it for a while) It doesn't hurt or it when i bursh it, it goes away till the next day. Last month i went to the doctor due to a sore throat, he looked at it and found it was strep throat. My tonsils are still large. I also found on the roof of my mouth is whitish and not sure what that is. I have been smoking for 5 years now, so that might be it? Are these signs of hiv during the time frame?

Im really scared because all these symptoms that i bring up to the doctors, they dont think its HIV or dont bring up any std. DO i have to bring it up? Are these symptoms of HIV or am do i just very creative imagination that is sparked when im doing nothing?

Please get tested for HIV. It is the only way to know for sure if you have HIV or not. It is your life, so you bring it up with the doctor. Go with a list of what you have mentioned here. If I was your doctor, I would have tested you for HIV.

All the best

In most developed countries, HIV is no longer a death sentence. I don't know where you live and I cannot assume you have HIV unless you get a positive test.

I tested positive for HIV 15 years ago because my doctor found out that I had PCP which is an AIDS defining. It is a good thing I had a competent doctor. I may have had HIV for years prior to the test.

Just wanted to add that.

Thinking about you.
