The symptoms you reported (brownish discharge about 2 weeks after and two or three days before period) and the data you provided (medical history of ovarian cyst and possible endometriosis) might indicate that you are experiencing metrorrhagia. Metrorrhagia is a frequent, but irregular menstruation.
The most frequent causes include: endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, but also polyps or endometrial leiomyomas.
The causes represent a rather incoherent group. Therefore, it is recommended to visit a gynecologist for a thorough physical examination. Hormonal laboratory tests might detect a hormonal imbalance which might be a cause on its own or it might be a consequence of another medical condition. An ultrasound scan might be able to detect polyps, leiomyomas, or other possible causes for metrorrhagia.
Once the cause is defined, adequate therapy might be recommended. It is highly likely that if a hormonal imbalance is detected, hormone-containing pills would be given in order to try to restore the normal female hormone production. The hormonal imbalance can affect the chances for conception so you are advised to solve this problem in order to increase the chances for conception
