CHRONIC LYME NEUROBORRELIOSIS - long-term bacterial (Borrelia burgdorferi) infection affecting the nervous system

Symptoms:
pain in the limbs, numbness, nasal discharge, fatigue, lameness, depression, panic disorder, headaches, sweating, trouble sleeping, Multiple sclerosis like symptoms,

Treatment:
The next course of antibiotics cured it permanently:
Doxycycline 400 mg/day (2x200) for 30 days
after
Minocycline 300-400 mg/day (2x200) for 30 days
During the course beginning every two weeks for four consecutive days:
Metrondiazole 1000 mg/day (2x500) for 60 days

Residual symptoms may remain after antibiotic courses. Therefore, additional steroid treatment may be necessary.
