The symptoms you reported might indicate a sexual hormone imbalance. The period is slightly different than usual because both estrogen and progesterone are lacking at the time of the menstruation. You might want to visit your gynecologist to check your hormone levels. The pain in the hip might be radiating from an ovarian cyst in your left ovary. An ovarian vaginal ultrasound examination would diagnose this problem, if any.
