The symptoms you reported (numbness in arms and hands to the point of dropping things and pain in arms and hands when awaking) are not likely to be related with either Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or early pregnancy.
Pain in arms and hands might be related to cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis is a condition in which there is degenerative inflammation of the cervical vertebrae that puts pressure on the neck nerves that leave the spine and serve the arms. That sensation might be affected and expressed as pain or numbness in arms. The motoric function of the nerves might be affected with muscle weakness.
You might want to visit an orthopedist for a physical examination. An x-ray, computer scan or other visualization methods might be recommended to detect cervical spondylosis. The treatment might include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, physical therapy and lifestyle modifications. Avoid putting your neck in a particular posture for a long period of time. The postures that might affect cervical spondylosis include: working in front of a computer monitor, watching TV (stand up when you see the commercials), or even reading in an unpleasant posture.
