ok ladies and gents. im getting pretty anxious. i posted about this before. but im still at a loss. i had un protected sex. i took the pill. ten days after my missed period a dark tar looking consistancy came out of my vag for about 3 days. then nothing. about 10 days later i started cramping. like i should get my period. but nothing has come. i am still cramping. but now officially a month and 7 days late. (not counting that tar crap as a period). i went to urgent care one night because i was fed up with the way my body felt. my boobs aren't super tender. but my nipples are. i have bad hips for a 20 year old, but im having a really hard time staying balanced. my ribs hurt. and im cramping. and have been for 3 weeks now. and i dont usually cramp. ever. i peed in a cup. but that came back negative. the doctor didnt really seem interested that i was concerned. and when i said, "ok awesome so im definitely not pregnant" all he could say was, 'well, i mean its still possible"... uh awesome. im going to wait till friday to pee on a stick. but. really ladies, any ideas? any relations? any advice??? AHHHHHHHH

Ectopic pregnancies (a pregnancy in the falopian tubes) can be a problem, but if nothing showed up on a test and you're not dead yet, and still able to move around, I wouldn't worry too much about it being an ectopic.

I once went to the doc about missing my period, with accompanied stomach ache and increase in urination. Come to find out, even though I was a couple weeks late, it is common for a woman to miss at least 2 periods a year! And I had a Urinary tract infection as well as an ulcer!

Also, stressing about your period will not make it come any faster. Sometimes stressing so much will hold your period off for quite a while.

Cramps and other aches or pains (such a tenderness of your nipples and not the whole breast) can be common symptoms of ovulation (what happens right before your period) or PMS (which can happen for awhile before your period in the case of some women).

If you feel you maybe pregnant, you may keep taking pregnancy tests, but chances are that tar-looking stuff was a miscarriage.

If you still have issues, I'd suggest trying a better physician if it gets to bad you can't even walk. If the Urgent Care you went to is anything like one of them I went to in Las Vegas, they aren't worth a damn.

I hope this helps you....Feel better Smile
