I am in the beginning stage of menopause. I notice three weeks ago my hands stiff up at night, I have to squeeze my hand to get the stiffness out and this is keeping me up all night. Is this a sympthom of menopause or a sign for arthirtis?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Your symptom could be suggestive of essential mineral deficiency, especially of calcium. Once you attain menopause, calcium gets depleted from the bones resulting in deranged calcium metabolism and brittle bones. Report your symptoms to your doctor/gynecologist and go ahead with further investigations (blood and electrolyte work-up, hormonal analysis) to confirm the cause and get started on appropriate treatment. Do not delay your visit to your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation.
Take care.
