Back in October I was breathing perfectly out of both nostrils until did some work in my grandmothers house which was built in the 1800"s I inhaled quite a bit of dust. It took a few days before it to kick in but I am miserable, stuffy nose, little to no sleep, lost of appetite, and weak since of smell. I went to a Doctor on October 29, less than 2 wks after becoming sick. He checked me out and said it's a sinus infection, he prescribed me amoxicillin. The following Monday which was November 2, I was not feeling better yet so I went to the emergency room, they xrayed me there wasn't anything in my lungs and they said it was allergic rhinitis keep in mind these were not specialist, they prescribed me prednisone, this medicine wasn't much help but they also referred me to a ENT. I went to the ENT. Friday November I payed the fee I had no insurrance and when she looked at me and checked me out she just gave me nasal spray which did not help. The following Wednesday I was back in her office, but this time she just had the nuse on duty give me a dose of steroids in the form of a shot. This didn't help either, by this time I lost faith in her and was thinking of switching ENT. I went 2 wks trying to decide what to do so I decided to give her one more chance. Friday November 20, I went back to see her again pay the fee this is when I figured her out she just did the same procedure and sent me on my way with more nasal spray she also told me the prices for the allergy test which came to about 2,000 dollars.

To add to this she said if the meds she was giving didn't work she might recommend surgery. After receiving more samples of the medicine that hasn't been working I told her I would not be returning then she tried to give me a date to come back in two weeks if this wasn't working I told her no thanx. She did tell me my septum wasn't deviated so I am considering going to the county Dr. and get his advice but i hope he offer the coblation turbinate. To all the people who work but cant afford insurance I hate to say it but it will be hard to find a Doc that will work for us. Can someone who had the coblation turbinate tell me how did it go and how do you feel now.
