Q: Swollen tonsils and blocked nose

I have had my tonsils removed some years ago, i have developed tonsilitis again, or so my doctor says, I am on anti biotics but im finding it very difficult to deal with the pain of swallowing and difficulty breathing.
Also my tongue has got a covering of a green substance on it... im guessing this is due to the infection as ive never had it before but i would like to know how to speed up the recovery process, or at least make it easier.
