The symptoms of mono may not manifest for everyone who contracts the Epstein-Barr virus. But when are symptoms serious? And when should you seek medical help?...
So around early December late November, I was first diagnosed with what appeared to be tonsillitis. After that they realized it wasn't getting better from antibiotics and gave me more. It was approximately 20 days of antibiotics. After that they tested me for mono, which came back positive. However one of the main issues, next to fatigue, was enlarged tonsils. These have lingered even till now, approx 4 months later. I don't know if this is normal? I am going to get it checked, but I'm afraid they might just say it is something else again which won't solve anything. Second opinion anyone?
