My husband bit his tongue about 4 days ago. It is swollen and purple. Since then he has been feeling ill. Runny nose, chills, sleepy, vomitted a couple of times and does want to eat much. He did go to the doctor and they gave him an anticbotic two days ago. He says he is still not feeling well. Could this be from the him biting his tongue or is is just a cold and he will have to wait it out? Also how long will it take for the medicine to get into his system to make him feel better?
