Q: Swollen throat

my mother in law has trouble, her throat is swollen and hard and it is taking over her neck to wear she can not swallow at all, the doctor said it could be a salivary gland plugged or a tumor or cancer, can you help me out right away, she is lying there dieing and i just feel like i have to find out if someone out there can help me out of this
