My husband was a skater and hit is testicles on the handrail while grinding it some years ago it became swollen and hasnt every went down so instead of having two its look a like one big testicle you can feel the small one on the side but the skin is so stretched out that its forced to join the other one i hope this makes sense. but he wont go to the doctor he is scared that they will have to cut it off he feels no pain though. PLease help me to get a way to make him go what can be wrong

The testes can swell for many reasons including cancer, testicular torsion, inguinal hernia, epididymitis, hydrocele, and varicocele. Other causes are far less common in adults. Like it or not, your husband needs to see a doctor to get a diagnosis. The first test will be a medical history and an examination. He will not be cut! Treatment will depend upon diagnosis, which many take additional tests like ultrasound scan or blood tests before doctors even know what it is. Sometimes, fear of the unknown keeps us from knowing...but urge him to seek medical help and let us know how it goes!
