Q: Swollen neck gland ?

On the front of my neck to the left side there is a muscle that comes down from the skull and attaches to the clavical area. The muscle in this area from the clavical up about 2 inches is swollen. It feels to me like the muscle is swollen. I don't feel any large lumps behind it. I have had junk in my throat and it feels like there is something going on in there on the left side. Could this be a gland issue?

I have an answer...since no one helpful seems to frequent this site.

My doctor said I have bad acid reflux. Put me on Nexium. We'll see how well I do for a month of diet change and medication.
