Diagnosis that has been suggested: Degenerative Disc Disease, Fibermylgia and Arthurtis. Hole in sinus due to dental procedure.
Current medical status: I have large lump on right side of neck. It has been there for over a week. I went to a doctor he said it could be strep throat and gave me amoxicillin. This has not taken care of the problem. last night my nose began to bleed. It did not last long. My throat hurts and my nose is burning as breathing. I am having trouble concentrating and head ach.
Current medical treatment: Amoxicillin for 5 days. Not better.
According to the information you reported, you might be experiencing a swollen lymph node due to inflammation of the throat. The dimensions of the lump would have been helpful to try to rule out other conditions. You might want to have a swab from the throat and the nose with an antibiogram. That will determine the exact bacteria that cause the inflammation and the adequate antibiotic.
Amoxicillin is an antibiotic, but the doctor can only guess according to his own experience if an antibiotic that is prescribed would be helpful.
When the infection is over, you might want to take care of the hole in the sinus because the communication between the oral cavity and sinus allows for easy spreading of every infection.
