About half-way between my hip-bone and my pubic bone, on the right side, in that crease between the upper leg and really lower stomach area i have had a very painful sensation for several days. It feels like a bruise but I cannot see any bruising. when I touch the area, I can feel a little hard ball underneath my skin. This might be where the lymph node is, i'm not sure. why would one of those lymph nodes be swollen enough for me to be able to feel it with my fingers and to be giving me pain?

Yes, there should be lymph nodes there. However, if there's something that you can feel and it hurts, I would get it checked out. You just wanna be sure it's nothing important.
