My 12 year old son has a swollen lymph node on the right side on his neck and a node swollen in his left groin area and he is a little anemic since august 2009. in august he was diagnosed with a staph infection from a black fly bite he received when we were on vacation. the sore came out on his left lower leg. since then the sore has healed from antibiotics. but the lymph nodes are still swollen. the one in the neck is a little smaller and the one in the groin is still there. should i be concerned about lymphoma? the last blood work showed lymph auto 46.4, netro auto 43.0, hgb 12.9 and hct 36.7. my family dr ordered a biopsy of the neck but i didn't get this done because the hematogist stated not to be concerned. get blood work redone in a couple of months. could this be lymphoma or should i not be concerned? please give me your opinion. thank you. Karen.
