Swollen groin lymph nodes and a lump in my breast

I'm 18 years old and a female. A couple weeks ago i found a pea size lump on the right side of my right breast. It is still there and hasnt changed and is painless. today i found the 2 lymphnodes in my groin, one on right other on left is swollen and rather painfull. Could the be associated with each other? and is this bad? What could be wrong?

Benign breast lumps, icnluding cysts, are quite common in young women, although new breast lumps in women of ANY age should be evaluated to rule-out a possible breast cancer.

Lymphoma typically causes painless (and progressive) enlargement of one or more lymph nodes. On the other hand, tender, painful lymph nodes are almost always caused by infection or inflammation.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide a specific diagnosis over the Internet to patients with concerns regarding enlarged lymph nodes. Therefore, my advice is for you to see your doctor for an examination.
