Q: Swollen blistered cut finger

I cut my finger a few days ago on some stainless steel. Went to ER, received stitches; My finger was x-rayed, cleaned, stitched, and bandaged very tightly. It is now swollen, blistered, red and painful. Could it be infected or it is just the affects of being tightly bandaged. I have been cleaning it and applying neosporin and also keep it covered everyday. Should I change my method of treatment. Should I burst the blisters.

Sounds like an infection....I'd go back to have it re-evaluated again...

Infections can turn ugly in a short amount of time....and you do not want to deal with that sort of ugly...

Call the ER and describe what you have told us...
