I have steadily been gaining weight in my upper belly only and am very bloated, have right rib area pain uusually after eating. I have gained 26 lbs. in a 4 month period mainly in my upper belyy region. I look 7 months pregnant.....no there is no possible way I am pregnant.
Has anyone else had a swollen tender upper belly due to GB problems?

bloated - Gallbladder?
I am also experiencing a distended tummy and come to think of it, it is usally after I've had my first cup of tea and or something to eat. i am trying to keep off animal fats and eating as much fat free foods like poached fish and salads to see if a change of diet helps. i'm still getting pain but the latest ultrasound last week showed no stones?

Gallbladder problems
no stones doesnt mean u dont have gallbladder problems, u may have a non functioning gallbladder, similar to pain with stones, u need to ask ur doc to do a nuclear medicine test to see if ur gallbladder is still functioning, if it shows that it now longer functions and ur having pain they should take it out right away, that was my problem. hope this helps. Smile
