Q: switching your inactive pills

Is it okay if you take your inactive pills a week earlier than you are supposed to? For instance, I took two weeks of active pills, then a week of inactive pills, and then the third week of active pills and started my new pack the next week. So because I took the inactive pills a week early, I will have 4 weeks before I get my next period instead of 3. Will my chances of pregnancy increase or is this okay?

I think (but I really don't know for sure) that each week of the pill has different amounts of hormone in it (but I don't know). I don't see how you wouldn't be as protected as any other time. If you're looking to skip a period, though, you could just totally skip your inactive pills. But I wouldn't recommend doing that over and over again.
