Q: switching from nuva ring to seasonique

I am on nuva ring and have 1 more week til I remove it. I was given seasonique today and want to start taking it to skip my period. Can I do this? Do I need a back up method? Will I have bleeding? Please help!

You can start taking it as soon as you remove the ring. If you take your pills on schedule, you will not have breakthrough bleeding, most likely but anything is possible. You also will not need any back up method.
