Alright,so my boyfriend and I have had sex a few times without a condom. We used spermicidal, but I don't know that we always waited the full ten minutes for it to activate. I am on the pill and usually take it within a three hour time frame. My sugar pills are set for five days. Usually I get crampsbefore I evenstart these. Last month I did not. I also typically get my period early on in my sugar pills, however last month I didn't get it until my last day of sugar pills. I take my fourth sugar pill tonight and still no cramps or period. I have alsorecently gained ten pounds. I did switch from beyaz to loestrin within the last few months...I know I should go in, and I may...however I want yourcompletely honest feedback. What are the odds I'm pregnant?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Weight gain could also be due to the change of hormonal birth control pills, or prolonged use of hormonal birth control pills. However if you had been sexually active without additional protection during the switchover of your birth control pills, chances of pregnancy cannot be ruled out completely. Wait and watch for your periods/withdrawal bleeding which should start by the time you finish taking your placebo/sugar pills. If you miss your periods/withdrawal bleeding, or if you suspect chances of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Stop the birth control use if you suspect chances of pregnancy or if pregnancy gets confirmed.
Take care.
