I'm so far beyond frustrated right now I don't even know what to do. I have Rosacea and 8 weeks ago I went in for what I thought was a laser genesis treatment. Instead I found I she did a YAG treatment. I was horribly swollen for almost a week and after abou four weeks my skin was back to normal. In fact, it looked better than before. A week later I woke up and both of the areas under my eyes were really swollen. I should add that since I had the procedure done I've had slight pains in these areas off and on. It's been four weeks and I'm still swollen, especially under the left eye. I've tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING to get rid of it. I've had blood test, exams by derms, PCP's and a different doctor who specializes in laser treatments. Everyone is telling me that the laser treatment should not have caused this and that it's allergy season. I've NEVER suffered from allergies. Can anyone tell me what might be going on? I look rediculous!

Thanks!

I guess you have been treated with laser for your skin rosacea acne and widened facial blood vessels.
Eye lids swelling is one of the symptoms of ocular rosacea, an inflammatory eye condition often associated with acne rosacea.
In half of the patients with skin rosacea, ocular rosacea develops eventually.
Often, symptoms of skin rosacea comes first than followed by symptoms of ocular rosacea, and vice versa.
