An extra breast tissue (less than 1-1/2 inches across) located directly under the nipple in form of lump or like swelling, and tender breast, are symptoms of gynecomastia in males.
Usually, it is a benign condition (changes in hormones during puberty) and affects young boys and adults.
In some cases, this has an underlying condition like hormonal imbalance (thyroid disorder), chronic kidney or liver diseases, or it happens as a result of using some illegal drugs.
