- I got bitten by an insect on the right side of my head and it was swollen for about two days. I was out hiking so I don't know what insect bit me. It was itchy so I ended up scratching it which was probably a bad idea. I noticed that it was oozing for a couple of hours on the second day. I put some antiseptic spray on it and covered it with a band-aid. The swelling has come down today but I notice that I have swelling on my neck; possibly a lymph node. It is small maybe the size of a pellet and slightly hard. It is on the right side of my neck in line with my ear. I do not have access to a doctor. Should I be worried? I also probably have a second bite just behind my ear on the same side as this is a little itchy and swollen as well.
Thank you very much.
