October 18th i noticed a soar pain in the right side of my neck in what seems to be the muscle tissue about an inch from my throat. it is very soar like a bruise and the swelling extends from the base of my neck to right below my ear in a straight line, i am very concerned and was wondering what it might be, and also if i should seek medical attention.

Update
I saw a doctor today (October 19th, because of my increasing concern) and he told me it was my tonsils that were swelling, he told me to watch for a rash or soars on my scalp but i am not sure what these would indicate, i am also concerned because for the past 2 years my tonsils continue to have issues, i have had tonsillitis 4 times this year already and they continuously swell and now i get this weird things and i am not even sure what it is.
can u tell e what might be wrong and if i might have to have my tonsils removed?
