My son fell on a concrete pool deck, landing on his buttocks. He bruised and scraped up his upper thigh. It is a week later, and the bruise and scrape are both gone, but the area is very swollen. He is not complaining of pain, actually says it only hurts when he applies pressure. Is this something to worry about?

Extremely eHealthy

Any abnormal condition that gets worse or stays the same for a week should be seen by a doctor. Swelling probably caused by deeper bruising and could take several weeks to become normal again - massage might help but see the doc in case of chipped bones and suchlike...
